Seven OFW Dependents Graduate from College through Afreight Scholarship
Seven students from OFW families recently completed their college education from First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) in Tanauan, Batangas through the “PA-ISKOLAR” scholarship program of Afreight Group.
Through the program, Afreight grants full college scholarships including tuition fees and accommodations to scholars who are dependents of the company’s OFW clients. Graduates came from different provinces including Ifugao, Antique, Laguna and Batangas.
“PA-ISKOLAR” scholarship program started in 2008 with two scholars. As of school year 2016-2017, the program has a total of 85 scholars. It already produced 32 successful graduates, one of them, a Cum Laude.
For 30 years, Afreight has been serving the cargo needs of Filipino workers overseas. It was organized in 1985 to engage in door to door cargo forwarding and has expanded its branches to different areas across the globe and even caters to the needs of Indonesian workers.
For school year 2017-2018, Afreight extended its “PA-ISKOLAR” scholarship program to cover the Senior High School level for the next two academic years.
